ICT in Science Education

On the second week (19^th September 2012), Mr. Azmi give a lecture regarding the topic of learning about ICT in Science education. He had explained about how should Science teachers use ICT. In order to make sure that we understand more about this topic, he had given us an assignment about issues and challenges in integrating ICT in teaching and learning in our Malaysian Schools. We are given two weeks to get do this tasks and prepare for the presentation as well. One more thing is that, we have to use the problem based learning (PBL) in this assignment. At first, it seem difficult to us, but after getting more information about the topic, it became more easier.

          From this assignment, I had realized that there are many issues and challenges that the teachers will faced in order to implement ICT in their teaching and learning process. One of them is teachers lack of ICT-related knowledge and lack of skills of using the ICT. So that, students, teachers, school management and parents have to play their role to make sure that ICT can be implemented in Malaysian School successfully. I personally agree that ICT can help to enhance the process of teaching and learning in  schools because through the use of ICT, the process of learning become more fun and attractive.
